Ed Sheeran was mocked in the new Ali G trailer and he wasn't mad about it!
The new comedy film, Ali G: Who Iz I?, will arrive in cinemas on October 23.
This film comes 24 years after the character's first appearance in 2002 and marks Sacha Baron Cohen's directorial debut.
The first trailer for the film was released recently and featured a joke mocking Sheeran.
The trailer opens with a narration from Cohen as Ali G, saying: “I’z been gone for 20 years, chillin’, and in that time the world went to crap. There was COVID, wars, and Ed Sheeran.”

Despite being mocked, Sheeran wasn't offended. The singer was actually delighted by the shoutout. He said: "Tell 10-year-old me that Ali G would put him in his movie. Restecpa.”
The upcoming Ali G: Who Iz I? film was reportedly kept under wraps throughout production. Cohen was spotted at this year’s Wimbledon before the project was publicly announced.
