Ariana Grande has revealed she is recovering from a minor injury ahead of the final two shows of her Eternal Sunshine tour in London.

The singer told fans she will be swapping her usual heels for more comfortable footwear when she takes to the stage at London’s O2 Arena tonight, September 1.

Grande shared the update on Instagram Stories, explaining that she is currently bandaged up while recovering from what she described as a deep cut.

My sweet petals, I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this evening’s show (and possibly tomorrow’s) as I am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury, she wrote.

The 32-year-old reassured fans that there was no need to worry, explaining that the injury was not a sprain or muscular injury.

She also asked fans not to “fret” if they see her performing without her usual heels or putting weight on the injured foot during the show.

On with the show and I am on the mend! she added.

Grande said she “cannot wait” to perform the final two dates of the tour, joking that she may be “a few inches shorter than usual.”

The London performances on August 31 and September 1 mark the end of her Eternal Sunshine tour.

Grande has previously confirmed that she plans to take a step back from some of her public commitments following the tour. She has withdrawn from the upcoming London West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George and will not appear in the next season of American Horror Story, with scheduling conflicts cited for both projects.

The decision led to speculation about the singer’s wellbeing, which Grande addressed directly during a concert in Chicago earlier this month.

She told fans that taking a break from public life should not be interpreted as a sign that she is unhappy with her career.

I just have to say that could not be more the far opposite, she said.

Grande added that “multiple things can be true at the same time”, explaining that people can need boundaries and a break while still loving what they do.

She described the Eternal Sunshine tour as “the greatest experience of my professional and creative life.”
