The Manchester group also shared an image showing a figure from behind in an open field, with fans noting its apparent resemblance to the setting at Slane and similarities to an iconic image from their first appearance there.
The band are expected to reveal more on Monday, although no concert at Slane has yet been officially confirmed by Oasis or the venue.
A potential return would mark another chapter in the group’s long history with the Boyne Valley estate.
Oasis first played Slane in July 1995, when they appeared as a support act for REM.
The concert became notorious after Liam Gallagher clashed with sections of the crowd, with bottles and rocks thrown towards the singer during the performance.
The band returned to Slane in June 2009, this time as the headline act, with The Prodigy and Kasabian among the support acts.
That show would become particularly significant as Oasis’ final Irish concert before their break-up later that year.
More than 15 years later, the group returned to Ireland as part of their hugely successful reunion tour.
Over 160,000 fans packed into Croke Park for two sold-out shows last August, marking Oasis’ first Irish performances since their 2009 Slane appearance.
The prospect of another Irish show has gathered pace following the band’s latest teaser, while a schedule circulating online has also listed several potential Slane dates in August next year.
Those dates have not been confirmed and should be treated as speculation.
Oasis have been teasing possible destinations for their next run of shows, with fans linking cryptic posts to cities including Glasgow, Paris, Amsterdam, Boston and Rome.
Knebworth has also been heavily linked with the band’s potential return to the stage.
If Slane is confirmed, Oasis would join an already busy concert calendar at the venue, with Fontaines D.C. set to perform there for two nights next year.
For Oasis fans, however, the prospect of returning to the scene of two of the band’s most memorable Irish shows is likely to make any official announcement particularly significant.
