A number of artists have been confirmed as opening acts for Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour, amid the controversy surrounding Macklemore's removal from the tour, following his public support of Palestine.

In light of Macklemore's removal from the tour, a number of other support acts pulled out of Sheeran's US Tour, including Dublin singer, Aaron Rowe and Irish band, Beoga, who were two of five acts that withdrew from the shows overall, in support of Macklemore.

Ed Sheeran had said that the decision to remove Macklemore was made by the tour promoter, after venues had seemed to indicate that they would not facilitate for these shows to go ahead if he on the bill.

Now, it has been confirmed that Isaac Slade, former singer from The Fray, and American Idol contestant, Brooks Rosser, have joined Sheeran's touring line up.

Slade has joined Sheeran for his shows in Indianapolis on 10 October, Charlotte on 17 October, Arlington on 24 October and Tampa on 7 November. He also performed at Sheeran's show in Atlanta on October 3. Ahead of these shows, Slade wrote on Instagram: "See you out there".

"My first show since American Idol, and it’s at Lucas Oil Stadium opening for @teddysphotos I’m beyond excited and grateful. See you Saturday!", he wrote.
