Ryan Tubridy got an unexpected trip down memory lane when he joined Trina Mara in the studio at Ireland's Classic Hits Radio to chat about his latest projects.
The broadcaster stopped by to discuss The Bookshelf Live, the touring extension of his popular book podcast, bringing conversations about literature and storytelling to audiences around the country.
However, Trina had a surprise waiting for him.
Trina revealed a rare archive clip featuring a 16-year-old Ryan Tubridy appearing on the programme Scratch Saturday. In the video, the teenage Tubridy can be heard confidently reviewing the latest U2 book, showcasing the same enthusiasm for books and broadcasting that would later define his career.
