Several media organisations across Ireland have been evacuated this morning following bomb threats sent to newsrooms.
Staff at newspapers, including the Irish Independent, and broadcasters across Dublin were told to leave their premises after emails containing alleged threats were received.
Gardaí have established a significant presence outside RTÉ's headquarters in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, with armed response units also attending the scene.
RTÉ Radio 1 was forced to change its morning schedule, replacing Today with David McCullagh, which was due to begin at 9am, with a pre-recorded music programme.
Staff at Newstalk, which is owned by Bauer Media, and Virgin Media Television in Ballymount have also been evacuated.
Similar emails have reportedly been sent to other media organisations in Ireland and the UK.
The incidents come following a series of bomb threats directed at airlines over the past several days.
