Arsenal FC have released a new Christmas advert which stars Hollywood actor Colin Firth, alongside a number of players from both the Gunners' men's and women's teams. You can check this out below.

The advert is part of the London club's Christmas campaign for this year, focusing on community work in North London.

Such work includes a lunch for care leavers on Christmas Day, visits to local hospitals, as well as an ongoing match day mental health drop in support as part of the Premier League's Together Against Suicide campaign.

Set in the streets of North London, the advert starring Colin Firth is titled, 'Twas the Season', and emphasises the power of celebrating the moments which matter together, including the euphoria of Arsenal winning their first Premier League title in 22 years last season.

In the ad, Colin Firth takes a journey through Islington, retelling the story of Arsenal's historic Premier League success, which finishes with him outside the club shop at the Emirates Stadium. It also features contributions of Arsenal's men's players, Gabriel and Ricardo Calafiori, and Alessio Russo from the women's team, who also played a key role in England's back to back European Championship success.

At one stage during the advert, Colin Firth is spotted having an exchange of words with Gabriel in Portuguese, a language which Firth has shown he is more than capable of speaking, having spoken the language in the 2003 hit, Love Actually.

The ad is directed by Si&Ad, who are known for their work in adverts, having previously worked on ads for TalkTalk, Robinsons, Durex, The Trainline,  Thinkbox and Morrisons.

“At Arsenal, we support each other and keep moving forward together", Gabriel said in a public statement. “The support I feel from the club and our supporters means so much to me and my family.

“Christmas is about being together, showing thanks and remembering what matters".

“This film celebrates that connection, and we want to carry that with us as we look forward to everything we have ahead".

Along with this, Arsenal have also launched their own Christmas card, with money raised going towards the club's foundation.
