Kate Bush Pays Tribute To Fans As 'Running Up That Hill Reaches One Billion Streams

Kate Bush has said that she is "blown away" by her supporters, after he classic track 'Running Up That Hill' reached one billion streams on Spotify.

The track, originally released in 1985 by Bush, has enjoyed a recent resurgence, since featuring in the popular Netflix sci fi series 'Stranger Things' last Summer. 

Following this, 'Running Up That Hill' has gone from strength to strength, from reaching number one in the UK Charts, to now hitting one billion Streams. 

“A billion streams!  I have an image of a river that suddenly floods and becomes many, many tributaries – a billion streams – on their way to the sea. Each one of these streams is one of you…", Bush wrote on her website. “Thank you! Thank you so much for sending this song on such an impossibly astonishing journey. I’m blown away". 

'Running Up That Hill' has broken several records following its recent resurgence, including making Kate Bush the oldest UK artist to reach number one in the charts.
