Normal People pair Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones have teased a possible reunion, after writing that they "have got some news to share".

The actors burst onto the scene as young lovers Connell Waldron and Marianne Sheridan in the RTÉ series, which was based on the novel of the same name written by author Sally Rooney.

Released in April 2020, Normal People focused on Connell and Marianne, as they took their on/off relationship from school right through to university.

The show was such a hit during the Covid lockdown, it single-handedly turned the pair into global superstars overnight.

Taking to Instagram, Daisy Edgar-Jones took a selfie of herself and Mescal, where they can both seen flashing peace signs.

Alongside a love heart emoji, Edgar-Jones added: "We've got some news to share!! Watch this space".  Element Pictures, the Irish production company behind Normal People, also shared the photo.
