Iconic Home Alone House Goes Up For Sale

The iconic house from the Home Alone films is up for sale.

This house which was famously used when Kevin McCallister (Macauley Culkin) was left Home Alone, will go up for sale for an incredible $5.25 million (£4.1 million). The house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and is located in Winnetka, Illinois. 

Since the classic movie was released in 1990, the home has undergone some extensive renovation. 

According to estate agents The Dawn McKenna Group, the house's current owners have doubled the living space, adding a large conservatory, and build a state-of-the-art basketball court.

They have also described the house as  "one of the most famous houses in the world", featuring two living rooms, three car garage, large kitchen, and an "unforgettable staircase". 

Another American Estate agent, Zillow, have revealed that this is the first time that the house has been put up for sale since 2012.
