A Cork TD quoted one of Taylor Swift's most famous lyrics during a Dáil debate on the city's bus services.
Sinn Féin TD for Cork North-Central Thomas Gould raised concerns over the cost and reliability of buses in the city, highlighting delays, cancelled services, a shortage of vehicles and a planned increase in adult fares despite the introduction of 90-minute tickets.
He argued that passengers are being asked to pay more for a service they cannot rely on.

According to Cork's 96FM, Deputy Gould referenced Taylor Swift's hit song Anti-Hero while urging the Government to take responsibility for the ongoing problems affecting Cork's bus network.
He told the Dáil: "We're in big trouble in Cork for buses. Taylor Swift has a song, 'Anti-Hero.'"
He then quoted one of the track's best-known lyrics, saying: "It's me. I'm the problem, it's me. Ministers, I think you should say that to yourselves."
While we don't know if Gould is a Swiftie, we do know that this exact lyric has been a social media trend since the song Anti-Hero was released.
The highy relatable line was used on over 750,000 videos on Tiktok alone. Creators used it in short clips to show that they are, indeed, the problem in a specific situation, or to point out somebody or something else as said-problem.

Responding to the TD's criticism, the Minister of State for Transport said bus fares are regulated by the National Transport Authority and that work is continuing to improve public transport across Cork.
The Government said investment is continuing through the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy, with plans to improve bus services, rail infrastructure and active travel routes across the city.
