Gardai and Tusla Investigate Severe Abuse Allegations at Dublin Creche

Four childcare workers have been suspended following serious allegations of abuse involving toddlers at a South Dublin creche.

Gardaí and Tusla have launched investigations, with two staff members having their Garda vetting clearance suspended, while two others are suspended for allegedly failing to report concerns in a timely manner.

The allegations involve up to six toddlers, aged between two and three years old.

According to The Irish Times, a staff member initially raised concerns with management in mid-March, but when no action was taken, they anonymously reported the situation to Tusla later that month.

The whistleblower is also believed to have contacted a parent and Gardaí through a third party.

The accusations include slapping children’s heads, hitting their legs, force-feeding them until they vomited, calling one child "fatty," and wiping noses so hard that children were injured.
