Maura Higgins stole the show on Dancing With The Stars as she transformed into a vampire for Halloween.

The former Love Islander got dolled up for a DWTS routine during Horror Movie Night. Maura and her pro partner, Mark Ballas, performed a dramatic, vampire-themed Contemporary routine to Cry Little Sister from the 1987 cult classic film The Lost Boys.

Maura looked gorgeous in a spooky white and red get-up. She wore contacts to make her eyes appear white as the makeup artist painted her face pale.

Her white dress had a fake blood dropping down it to complete the look. Her costume even gave partner Mark Ballas a jump scare.

However, fans were outraged when the judges didn't score the pair as high as they expected. Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli awarded them a combined score of 22/30, placing the pair in the top half of the leaderboard

The performance successfully secured her a spot safely through to the next week of the competition, surviving the elimination. However, when Mark’s mother, Shirley Ballas, was a guest judge for Halloween Night, things went south.

While some fans expected her to bias, Shirley gave the couple their lowest score of the night - seven - but others felt the Queen of Latin was trying to avoid looking biased by being extra harsh on her own son.

However, others were annoyed by the scoring inconsistency among the panel, arguing that the judges didn't seem to be on the same page regarding what constituted a good routine.

People flocked to social media to support the pair, with one person saying: 'I thought her dancing was amazing i was expecting all 9s.' Another person wrote: 'No wait I thought that was FAB. She looks like an absolute pro and her acting was incredible!'
