Organisers are hoping for over 10 thousand people to attend this year's 2025 Glenamaddy Ploughing and Agricultural Show.
The launch of the big event took place last night, which also the introduction of a new website 'glenamaddyshow.com' which will streamline the application and entrant process.
The show is set to take place on Sunday 28th of September at the Equestrian Centre at Glenamaddy.
The contest usually attracts crowds of around 8 to 9 thousand to the Galway town.
Vice Chair of the Show Committee, Pat Connelly spoke to Galway Bay FM at the launch and said there’ll be something for everyone this year: “It’s a wonderful occasion for the parish and the surrounding areas. It is our 11th year- we have sheep competitions, cattle competitions, and we will be attempting to break the world record as well. So everything seems to be kicking off, and the excitement is building.”
