Famous actor, Steve Coogan was spotted enjoying the delights of a café in Galway over the weekend.
Coogan, known for starring in Alan Partridge, Tony Wilson in 24 Hour Party People, as well as Martin Sixsmith in Oscar nominated film, Philomena, was seen in Tuam's Curly Cup Café.
It has been reported that Steve Coogan has been currently working on filming, Bad Bridgets, a movie which has seen shooting taking place across several locations in both the North and Republic of Ireland.
Directed by Rich Peppiatt, best known for his work on the Kneecap film, Bad Bridgets is also set to feature Irish actors, Domhnall Gleeson and Colin Farrell.
Now, Coogan was spotted at the café in Galway, with Curly Cup posting about this chance meeting on social media.
“We had a special guest for breakfast this morning. Steve Coogan. thank you for stopping by", they wrote.

Steve Coogan is certainly no stranger to being spotted in the West coast of Ireland. His mother Kathleen is from County Mayo.
He has also previously worked on project either in or referring to Ireland, such as Philomena for instance, which he co starred, produced and co wrote alongside Judi Dench. The film told the story of a journalist documenting a women's search to find her child, after her family had placed her in Sean Ross Abbey mother-and-baby home.
Coogan also played fictional Irish farmer, Martin Brennan in This Time with Alan Partridge series in 2019.
More recently, Coogan also co starred in the 2025 film, Saipan, which explored the infamous row between Republic of Ireland manager, Mick McCarthy and captain Roy Keane ahead of the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
