A lucky Kerry player won the National Lottery on Saturday night.
The lotto player became €1 million richer after winning the National Lottery's Lotto Plus prize. The winning ticket was bought last Thursday, with the winning numbers from the Lotto Plus 1 draw reading: 2, 16, 23, 24, 35, 46 and the Bonus number 40.
In a statement according to the Irish Independent, National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan said that it will be a weekend to remember for one Kerry lotto player in particular, as they have become Ireland's newest millionaire.
“While details of the store that sold the winning ticket will be revealed in the coming days, we’re encouraging all Lotto players in Co Kerry to check their Quick Pick tickets very carefully today as one player now has a ticket worth a fantastic €1 million", she said. “If you’re holding the winning ticket, sign the back of it and keep it somewhere safe before contacting our Prize Claims team".
There was no winner of the €7,425,669 jackpot on offer, meaning that Wednesday's Lotto Jackpot is set to role on towards an estimated €7.8 million.
The lucky winner on Saturday night has been advised to get in touch with the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222, or email claims@lottery.ie, and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.
