Titled "Limerock Live", the series of concerts will take place every Friday night in August and the first Friday of September.

"Limerock Live" will feature local acts, with Emma Langford, The O'Malleys, Toucan, Anna's Anchor and the Alvin Purple Experience announced.

While Milk Market welcomes back live music, audiences for the concerts will be limited to a 200 person capacity. Tickets will be sold in four person pods to accommodate social distancing.

Limerick City and County Council are organising the concerts in association with Dolans Presents. Funding is provided by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media through the Local Live Performance Programming scheme.

"We’ve all been craving live music during the pandemic and missing the simple pleasure of going to an outdoor gig with our friends and family," said Limerick Mayor Daniel Butler. "I warmly welcome the fact that local artists are being supported through this Local Live Performance programming scheme and that the Council is collaborating with the superb team at Dolans Presents to make this summer event happen. I’m really looking forward to it."

"We are delighted to partner with Limerick City and County Council to deliver this great idea to Limerick audiences," said Neil Dolan of Dolans Presents. "The past 18 months has been a difficult one for both performers and audiences alike. The 'Limerock Live' series will be an opportunity for all of us to celebrate coming together once again to celebrate live music. The Limerick music scene has consistently been delivering great things for many years. We thank the council for developing this idea to showcase local acts and to celebrate the musical talent this city has."

The schedule is:

August 6th Toucan

August 13th Anna’s Anchor

August 20th Alvin Purple Experience

August 27th Emma Langford

September 3rd The O'Malleys
