Beyoncé has shared new music for the first time in two years.

The song which is called, Morning Dew (Donk), was released across the Fourth of July weekend, and has been described in a press release from the singer's representatives as a “direct nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of B’Day”.

Morning Dew (Donk) was meant to be initially released as part of the B'Day LP, which arrived in September 2006, with this year marking 20 years since its arrival. Alongside Beyoncé, the song was also co written by Pharrell Williams, Darius Dixon, and The-Dream, as well as being co produced by Beyoncé and Williams.

It will feature on a new 20th anniversary of B'Day. No other information regarding this reissue was announced at the time of writing.

A new lyric video was also shared for this track, reusing 20 year old footage from Cliff Watts. Watts also photographed Beyoncé for the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2007.

Following its initial release in 2007, B'Day earned Beyoncé her second number one album, and saw her win a Grammy Award for best contemporary R&B Album. It included songs like Irreplacable, Deja Vu, and Ring the Alarm.

Morning Dew (Donk) also marks Beyoncé's first release since the arrival of album, Cowboy Carter in 2024, which hit top spot in several countries, and saw her reach number one at the Top Country Albums Chart for the first time.

Last December, it was revealed that Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour was the highest grossing one in 2025 by a solo artist, generating a total of $407.6 million from 1.6 million tickets sold.

This finished ahead of The Weeknd, whose huge, After Hours Til Dawn collected $336.7 million, which ran for 46 shows. That tour was recognised as the highest grossing tour by a male artist in history. More on this story here.
