Boyzone have revealed that Louis Walsh will not have any involvement in their forthcoming reunion show.
This comes as the band announced a one off show at London's Emirates Stadium on 6 June next year. This would mark their first show since 2019, which saw them perform a five night run at the London Palladium. More on this here.
When asked if Louis Walsh would be involved in this show, Ronan Keating who did not speak so fondly about the band's former manager, said: "No. Louis hasn't been involved in Boyzone for a very long time, before the documentary, even well before the documentary. We stopped talking to him".
He added: "He's very much working with Westlife and those things".
When asked of Walsh would be taking a cut of the profits from this show, the band laughed at such a suggestion.
"Louis, he was the beginning of the band at least, you know, certainly it's not the end of the band at this point. I love and respect the man by all means. But we have moved on", Shane Lynch said.
Earlier this week, the band attended a press conference at the London Irish Centre in Camden, where bandmember Mikey Graham was a noticeable absentee.
Explaining the reason for Graham's absence, Ronan Keating said: "Mikey apologises for not being here today in person for personal reasons. We'll see him soon, and he will be there on the night".
He added: "We'll see Mikey in 20 minutes, and he will be there on 6 June".
Speaking about this, Shane Lynch said: "I can't wait to see Mick. And I'm super excited for him".
Ahead of this show in London, Keith Duffy stated: "It's a big moment".
