Britney Spears has lashed out at her ex husband Kevin Federline, declaring "He hates me".
This comes after Federline claimed in his new memoir, You Thought You Knew, that Spears used cocaine while trying to breastfeed their children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. He went on to say that a "silent alarm" went off in his head the first time when Spears started drinking alcohol while she was pregnant and on medication.
“That mix was… dangerous. F---ed up, honestly,” he wrote. “You’re not supposed to drink when you’re on meds like that. A couple of glasses of wine for her would hit like a whole bottle because of the medication".
He also said that he tried to make excuses for Spears, mentioning the pressure of life in the spotlight brought, claiming that alcohol and drugs were her coping mechanisms.
Federline mentioned an alleged incident during his album release party in October 2006, when he claimed that his then wife Spears did not attend as she said she wanted to be with her children, including a six week old Jayden. However, he claimed that Britney turned up at the party, where she proceeded to take cocaine with an actress friend.
Now, Britney Spears has taken to social media to slam these claims made by her ex husband in his memoir. She said that Kevin "hated" and was "humiliating" her with his claims that she used cocaine while breastfeeding her children.
"I 100 percent beg to differ the way he is literally attacking me in his interviews", she said. "If you really love someone then you don't help them by humiliating them".
Britney went on describe Kevin as having suffered from anger management issues, which scared her and which she said was "way worse" than what was seen in public.
"What scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine", she said. "Why is HE SO ANGRY... The boy hates me and it is deep anger to literally say the things he is saying".
Elsewhere, Britney Spears also accused Kevin of writing this memoir in order to raise funds, as he no longer received child-support payments for the former couple's sons.
"No money from Britney for 5 years," she said. "You trying to get paid... your kids are adults it's a different world now".
Back in August, Britney Spears described being separated from her two sons were "the hardest years of her life". More on this here.
