Florence + The Machine is set to hit the road early next year, with a newly announced UK and European tour in support of Florence Welch’s upcoming sixth studio album, 'Everybody Scream'.
The tour will begin in Belfast on February 6th at the SSE Arena and includes a major highlight: two nights at London’s iconic O2 Arena.
The album is scheduled for release on Halloween, aligning perfectly with its eerie, supernatural tone.
According to a press release, "After needing lifesaving surgery on the Dance Fever Tour, Florence’s recovery took her down the path of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror as she felt the limits of her body and explored what it means to be 'healed'."
The project delves into themes of “womanhood, partnership, aging and dying; exposing the murky in the mundane.”
Written and produced by Welch over the past two years, 'Everybody Scream' was crafted with a close circle of collaborators, including Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner, and Mitski. The album’s title track and its accompanying music video, featuring Bowen, were released last week as a first glimpse into the haunting new era.
Joining Welch on tour will be British singer-songwriter Paris Paloma, who gained viral fame for her feminist anthem 'Labour', a powerful track examining the unpaid domestic labour often shouldered by women.
Fans eager to secure their spots can access presale tickets starting September 3rd at 10am, with general sale opening on September 5th at the same time.
