Jesy Nelson has issued an appeal on social media after her car, which was carrying the hospital equipment to treat her twin daughters was stolen.
The former Little Mix singer has shared this plea on Instagram to help locate the vehicle, which was carrying hospital equipment used to treat her twins who have been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
"My car got stolen off my driveway in the early hours of this morning, if anyone sees a black Defender reg plate JJ73SSY", the singer wrote. "Please, if any of you have seen or know of any information can you DM me or contact the police".
"I have so much of my girls' hospital equipment in that car that’s really needed".
In a separate post, Jesy Nelson revealed that the car was stolen from Brentwood, Essex.
This comes after Nelson had opened about the heart-breaking reality of raising her twins with SMA.
Back in February, Nelson said that her children Ocean Jade and Story Monroe were diagnosed with SMA, had admitted to not feeling maternal, before opening up about the huge shift in her life's purpose.
“I never wanted children, and then the universe gave me twins,” Nelson told Jamie Laing on the Great Company podcast. Nelson then spoke about a sudden feeling of delight, despite her shock when she found out she was pregnant: “I felt butterflies... it made me the person I’ve always wanted to be".
The singer went on to explain that she noticed something was not quite right with the twins due to the lack of movement in their legs.
"They are like rag dolls", she said of the muscle wasting nature of their legs.
While she has good and bad days, Nelson said that the love of her children gives her the strength to carry on.
She said: “They’ve had to go through so much, and they’re still happy and smiling. What gives me the reason to be sad?”.
