Mel B has once again stated that she would be thrilled if the Spice Girls returned for a reunion tour.

This comes after the singer had previously said that she was confident that the group would reunite.

Speaking to Extra last year, Mel B said: "It's the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls Wannabe song next year. We've got a year to work on them. Let's put it that way". More on this here.

Speaking to Page 6, the singer weighed on on the recent rumours that a reunion of the girl group to mark their 30th anniversary were on the cards, where she sadly admitted that a reunion is looking like a pipe dream at this stage.

The singer, who has always been favour of a Spice Girls reunion, said: “In a perfect world, we’d already be on tour right now, touring the whole entire world,” before adding: “I’m always the one going, ‘Yes, we’re going on tour’. I would love to go on tour. I would love to do music… but it isn’t happening".

This comes as Mel B's former bandmate Mel C also ruled out a 30th anniversary reunion tour for the Spice Girls, while assuring fans that the group still "want to do something".

Speaking on the Australian radion show, The Smallzy Show, Mel B said that the girls are “communicating all the time”, adding: “We want to do something. Who knows when, but I still feel very optimistic, and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future".

Any reunion show would celebrate 30 years since they released their debut smash hit, 'Wannabe'.  More on this story here.

Last year, Mel B married her partner, Rory McPhee. Prior to the wedding, Mel B's former Spice Girls bandmate, Victoria Beckham wished her all the best, having confirmed that she would not be attending the nuptials.

"Sending love to you @officialmelb! @rorymcphee is a very lucky man! xx", Posh Spice wrote on Instagram. More on this here.
