Take That have teased a new song, You're A Superstar in their recent Netflix documentary.
The band shared their new song in the closing credits of the final episode of their Netflix doc, confirming that it will come from their first record since 2023's, This Life.
“The band thought it would be a great surprise and a treat for fans at the end of the Netflix series. It’s a great way to tease their new material and the full single will be coming soon", an insider told The Mirror.
This comes after Take That co founder, Gary Barlow had confirmed that a new album from the band was on the way last year.
"We’re all working on a new Take That record right now", Barlow said. "We all came off tour at the end of the year and said, ‘Right, let’s get to work’.
“It’s been slated for next year. We just don’t want to stop, really".
"But I think we’re at the point where we don’t even really want to make an album, we just want to put singles out", he added. "We’re writing, we’re recording, and when we like something, we’re just going to put it out.
"The albums take years to make. And I often think of our fans, they want stuff now. They don’t want to wait for two years".
In this documentary, Take That are also shown discussing the pressures of fame, with Barlow describing the burden of being chief singer/songwriter for Take That as an "an unbelievable amount of pressure".
He added: "We’re a business now. A money-making machine for a lot of people".
The doc's screen also reads: "Exclusive unseen footage. Told in their own words. The music you know. The story you don’t", for a docuseries which has been described as a "deeply personal and definitive story of Take That". Find out more on this story here.
