Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Wexford

A man in his 20s has died following a fatal road traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Co Wexford.

The incident occurred near Glenour, Adamstown,Wexford at approximately 9.20pm on Friday night. Emergency services attended the scene following reports of a single-vehicle collision on the L4016 road.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

The L4016 remains closed this morning as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out a technical examination of the area. Traffic diversions are currently in place locally.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Investigators are particularly anxious to speak with road users who were travelling on the L4016 between 9pm and 9.30pm on Friday, May 8th, 2026.

Anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam or mobile phone recordings, is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
