Former radio host, Joe Duffy is set to release a tell-all memoir later this year.
The retired RTÉ star is to release his project, 'Talk to Joe: Live, Liveline and Me', having stepped away from his role as Liveline host last June after 37 years in the role. He was replaced by Kieran Cuddihy.
A synopsis has said that Joe will write "with warmth, honesty and trademark wit' as he reflects on 'the privilege and responsibility of platforming the nation's voice, through heartbreak, humour, anger and hope".
"Talk to Joe is more than a memoir: it's a chronicle of Ireland in transition, told by the man who listened hardest - and made talking feel easy".
Last month, Joe Duffy shed some light on he is finding retirement, explaining how he has been travelling around the country after years of being "shackled to a desk" in the Liveline studios.
"I’ve been to Donegal, Kerry, Westmeath, Cork, Wexford, and it’s just great", Duffy said in an interview with RSVP. "There are so many more positive changes around the country. I especially love the new schools and the new primary care and healthcare centres. I really love the new theatres and public spaces too".
"The country has changed so dramatically since I started Liveline, and positively as well. It took my fresh pair of eyes to realise that".
