One lucky EuroMillions player in Ireland has scooped a life-changing €250 million jackpot which is the biggest lottery win in the country’s history.
The winning numbers drawn were: 13, 22, 23, 44, 49 and the Lucky Stars: 03, 05.
The National Lottery confirmed the historic win in a post on X (formerly Twitter), asking players: “Who wants to be a Quarter Billionaire?” and urging everyone to check their tickets via lottery.ie or the National Lottery App.
The €250 million jackpot surpasses the previous record of €175 million, won in February 2019 with a ticket sold at Reilly’s Daybreak in The Naul, Co. Dublin.
National Lottery CEO Cian Murphy said they are “absolutely thrilled” with the news and are urging all players to check their tickets.
“If you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket, keep it in a safe place, and contact us at National Lottery headquarters. We will guide you through the claims process,” he said.
Murphy added that the location of the winning ticket would be revealed in the coming days, once verification procedures are completed.
“While this is a massive win, it can come as a shock. We encourage the winner to stay calm, seek independent legal and financial advice, and reach out to us as soon as possible,” he added.
Friday’s draw had reached the maximum jackpot cap allowed under EuroMillions rules, meaning the prize could not increase any further.
This marks the 18th EuroMillions win in Ireland since the game began and the biggest ever.
