Met Éireann: Temperatures Could Hit 25 Degrees In Parts Of The Country Today

Met Éireann have said that temperatures could reach highs of 25 degrees in parts of the country today.

The national forecaster revealed this, as high pressure continues to build into a warm weekend. They have also said that sunny spells and warm conditions are to break into this afternoon. Temperatures are to range between 20 and 25 degrees, dropping to lows of between 9 and 14 degrees overnight.

Wednesday has been forecasted to be a  "lovely clear day with plenty of sunshine around", with temperatures set to reach 22 and 27 degrees, with light showers set to hit parts of the north and west.

Met Éireann have said that high pressure is to continue to build this week with warm and settled weather to remain. They had added that they expect it to become "very warm or even hot from Thursday", ranging between 21 and 26 degrees, with sunshine expected.

It is expected to be cloudier in the north and northwest with a few showers also forecasted, with lowest temperatures to stay between 11 and 14 degrees.

Following a foggy start, widespread sunshine is expected for Friday, with temperatures to hit 22 to 27 or 28 degrees during the day.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we can expect widespread sunshine, according to Met Éireann. Temperatures are to reach highs of 23 to 27 or 28 degrees.
