One very lucky Cork punter scooped up €3.6 million after winning the big prize following last night's Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was drawn in the Quick Pick, which was bought online on Tuesday, with the winning numbers reading: 02, 13, 37, 38, 41, 46 and the bonus was 18. This came from the Wednesday, 2 September draw, according to reports in Cork Beo.

An email has been sent to the lucky winner advising them to check their account, and asked to contact the Prize Claims team 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie for arrangements to be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.

“While Wednesday night’s Lotto draw marked a milestone moment for the game with 46 & 47 now officially retiring from the game, it was a truly significant night for one Rebel County player. The midweek draw saw an online player in Cork win the jackpot which was worth an incredible €3,641,884. We are encouraging all of our online players in Cork to carefully check their accounts today as one person now has a jackpot amount waiting to be claimed", Sarah Orr, a National Lottery spokesperson said.

This lucky winner from the Rebel County has become the sixth winner of the Lotto Jackpot of the year so far, which has already seen winners from Dublin (3), Mayo and Offaly.

Last night's draw also marked the final farewell to Lotto numbers, 46 and 47, as a new Lotto chapter begins from Saturday, with 45 balls now in the drum.

Back in July, a winner from Kerry also scooped up €1 million at the National Lottery's Lotto Plus prize. More on this here.
