In a trailer for his new documentary, Tyson Fury admits that he "didn't want to live".

The boxer's new self titled documentary will be showcased on Netflix, looking back on his childhood, as well as the height of his boxing career as a World Heavyweight Champion, along with the highs and lows of life in and out of ring.

The doc will also include interviews with Fury, his wife Paris, his father John, as well as looking into his mental health battles over the years, dealing with addiction, as well as losing a child and managing complex familial relationships. The trio appear visibly emotional in the trailer, and are seen wiping away tears at different stage.

"Growing up in my family, there was no emotion shown. They’re all hard knots. Like 50 Cent said, "show no love, love will get you killed", Fury can be heard saying in the trailer.

Fury can also be heard talking about his "obsession" with defeating Ukrainian fighter, Wladimir Kilitschko, who was the world heavyweight champion at the time, and had held the record for the longest time reign as champion.

Fury defeated Klitschko in 2015, becoming the first British heavyweight champion in six years, since David Haye won it in 2009.

In the trailer, Paris says: "Train, eat, sleep, repeat. Just hell-bent on what he was going to do. He was really different to everyone else. Straight after, Tyson said to me: "This is as good as it’s ever going to get". I didn’t understand at that time what he meant".

She added: "The Tyson that I knew was gone, and I was so scared".

Tyson also adds: "I achieved all my childhood dreams, but my whole point of existence had been taken away. I didn’t want to live".

His father John admitted that the win had a bigger "effect" on Tyson than he ever could imagine.

"The Gypsy King, no matter what you chuck at him, he will overcome it. It wasn’t really about boxing. It was about trying to get well again", Tyson states.

The new documentary will air on November 27, two weeks prior to Fury's fight with Anthony Joshua on December 11, which will also be streamed to Netflix.

This also comes after Fury had recently starred in the reality show, At Home With The Furys, which looked at his exit from the ring, and his attempts to embrace retirement with his family.

This year saw Fury announce his return to the ring, which happened almost a year after he had said that he was stepping away from the sport.
