Former Coronation Street star Beverley Callard has revealed that she will need to undergo a "big operation" following her breast cancer diagnosis.
Having shared her cancer news on The Late Late Show last month, Callard who recently joined the Fair City cast, confirmed that she is facing an operation as she opened up about the "worst bit" of her cancer battle.
Speaking on social media, Callard, who is renowned for her role as Liz McDonald on Coronation Street, wrote on social media: "I went to the hospital, and they wanted to talk to me about the lymph nodes and the lymph glands".
"They are pretty sure it is not in the lymph nodes, but they are going to take two out on Friday when I have the operation to make sure, so it’s quite a big operation I’m having, but I trust them completely", she continued.
"I have to tell you it’s the Norwich and Norfolk Hospital, all NHS obviously, and they are truly amazing. They spent ages with me, and every other patient as well".
She added: "What is great is that you can sit there chatting to other people who are going through what you are going through, and some are in a far worse position than me".
"I thank my lucky stars, the world is full of really strong women for sure".

Elsewhere, Callard, also spoke about "waiting" before her operation.
"The waiting is the worst bit. I have to tell you, the house is so clean because I can’t stop and think about things", she said. "One more day, and then it is the operation".
"But I’m feeling strong and positive and let me know if you are going through it and how you are feeling. Truly, your stories mean a great deal to me".
This comes after Callard had shared another health update regarding her recovery last week. Find out more here.
