Christina Applegate has offered a fresh health update following her recent hospital stay.
The actress, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, confirming the news on X.
"Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It's been a strange journey", she wrote. "But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition".
"It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a****** blocks it".
"As one of my friends that has MS said " we wake up and take the indicated action". And that's what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo".
Earlier this year, the actress had opened up about how she spends most of her days in bed due to the pain she is in.
Last year, Applegate launched a new Instagram account, detailing her "real, raw, honest" journey.
Posting in October last year, Applegate explained why she decided to join social media, having hesitated for years. “If you told me a year ago that I’d be on Instagram, I would have said, F--k off!” she wrote. “But here I am, so I’m going to do it my way. Last week, it was reported that Applegate had been in hospital since March, with the exact reason unknown at that stage.
Yesterday evening, Christina Applegate shared a new update, where she posted a photo of a mug resting on top of her memoir on the side of a deck.
"Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes", Applegate added in the caption. "Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick, and I’m getting stronger and better every day".
She added: "I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough".

Back in January 2024, Christina Applegate received a standing ovation after appearing at the Emmy Awards.
The actress was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category for her role in hit Netflix comedy-drama, Dead to Me.
“Thank you so much", she told the audience. “Oh my god, you’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up. It’s fine…Body not by Ozempic. Okay, let’s go".
She also went on to add: "We don't have to applaud every time I do something".
