Sammy conned two pensioners out of their life savings of £34,000. The men who were aged between 80 and 90 were left on the breadline and one of them has since passed away. The other man says he considered Sammy to be a friend but the conman knew he was targeting a vulnerable, elderly person who trusted him.
The money was spent on keeping up with a lavish "celebrity lifestyle". He originally denied the charges but has now pleaded guilty.
