Davina McCall has revealed that she wrote "letters and a will" before undergoing brain tumour surgery last year.

Last November, the presenter underwent an operation to remove a colloid cyst, which was found following a routine health check up as part of her menopause advocacy. She later spent some time in intensive care. More on this here.

Thankfully, Davina McCall later confirmed she was "on the mend" following her operation, thanking her fans for the kind messages, and her partner Michael Douglas who has been caring for her during this difficult time.

Back in April, McCall issued a fresh update regarding her recovery, revealing that she was given hugely positive news following her check up.

"Had the final MRI this week. @brain.surgeon.uk got everything out during surgery, it’s not coming back", she said. Find out more on this here.

McCall Admits Worries Prior To Surgery

Now, Davina McCall has revealed that she wrote a will prior to her operation.

“I have never had thought processes like I had before my operation", McCall told Jamie Theakston. “Some people were like ‘You were quite extreme’ because I was like I need to make sure everyone is alright if I die, will, letters".

When asked by Theakston if she really did this, McCall replied:  “Yeah. I mean I was literally telling everybody [that I was fine]. But being on an operating table is a risk at our age".

In the same interview, Jamie Theakston opened up about his own experiences with cancer, having been diagnosed with stage one laryngeal cancer, before being given the 'all-clear' back in January.

“I feel in a much better place not only physically but also mentally because I have learnt so much about myself, and about how strong you can be,” he said. “I’ve learnt about other people, about friends and family about how important they can be".

“Supporting, being there, not taking them for granted. It has been a real gift".

“Often when bad things happen to us, in the aftermath of that there can be good things to take from it and I really do feel that I am a better person because of what I have been through than what I was before".
