Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that the festival's three 2027 headliners have already been booked — but Madonna will not be one of them.

Eavis addressed the speculation surrounding next year's line-up during an interview with the BBC, confirming that the festival is returning to Worthy Farm with its headline acts already secured.

Asked directly whether Madonna would headline, Eavis gave a clear answer.

"No, it's definitely not Madonna, I'll tell you that, but we have got three headliners and we're very excited about it – it's all coming together really well," she said.

The news comes after months of speculation that Madonna could finally make her Glastonbury debut.

The pop superstar has never headlined the festival, and rumours intensified in June after she hinted during an appearance with Graham Norton that she was planning something major in the UK next summer.

Madonna's latest album, Confessions II, has also fuelled speculation about her plans for 2027.

However, Eavis has now ruled out a Glastonbury appearance.

She also faced questions about whether Taylor Swift could be among the three confirmed headliners.

Rather than revealing anything, Eavis simply laughed and declined to comment.

The festival did not take place in 2026, with the event taking a scheduled fallow year to allow the land at Worthy Farm to recover.

Glastonbury will return in 2027, running from Wednesday, June 23 until Sunday, June 27.

As usual, the festival has not yet officially announced its line-up.

Eavis also played down the reliability of the many rumours that appear online in the months leading up to Glastonbury.

"Pretty much 95% of the stories [about Glastonbury] you read are not true, and rumours are pretty much always wrong," she said.

"But the good news is that we've got our headliners and we're cracking on, and we just can't wait to get back."

Madonna's exclusion from the Glastonbury line-up could mean the singer has another major UK performance in the works.

The Sun has reported that she could be considering a three-night run at London's BST Hyde Park, although there has been no official confirmation of those shows.

The 67-year-old recently appeared at the FIFA Men's World Cup final, where she joined Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Ronaldinho for a colourful half-time performance.
