Jessie J stopped her performance at Newbury Racecourse after a fight broke out in the crowd – and told security to remove those involved.

The singer, 38, was performing at the Party in the Paddock event on Saturday when the disruption took place.

Jessie addressed the situation from the stage, telling security to intervene so she could continue with the show.

“So many people have spent money on this show, to see me,” she said.

“Can you just get rid of [the people fighting] so we can carry on?”

She then told the disruptive fans: “Take them out, I don’t need them here.”

Jessie went on to point out that many of the people in the audience had been waiting for hours to see her perform.

“People have been waiting hours to see us,” she said.

“Just take them out. Get them an Uber, I’ll pay for it.”

Her comments were met with cheers from the crowd, with fans appearing to support the singer's decision to deal with the disruption rather than allow the fight to continue.

Footage of the moment has since been shared online, with viewers praising Jessie for addressing the situation directly.

One person commented: “They were behind me and they carried on the whole time, embarrassing.”

Others wrote: “Good on ya Jessie” while one added "She was brilliant!"

A fourth added: “This is disgusting behaviour.”

Jessie is currently performing across the UK as part of her live schedule following her return to the stage.

The singer has previously spoken openly about the importance of looking after her fans at live shows, particularly during performances where large crowds can make it difficult for artists to see what is happening among the audience.
