Variety and CNN have revealed the stacked lineup for the 23rd season, marking the first edition produced under their newly announced collaboration.
This year’s season features some of the industry’s most celebrated performers in candid, in-depth conversations about their craft. Among the marquee pairings: Jennifer Lawrence with Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler with Ariana Grande, Julia Roberts with Sean Penn, and a special reunion between Dwayne Johnson and Brendan Fraser, who first worked together on The Mummy Returns in 2001.
“With exclusive revelations from Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Jennifer Lawrence, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Ethan Hawke and more, this is our best season of Actors on Actors yet,” said Ramin Setoodeh, Variety’s co-editor in chief and co-president. “We can’t wait for fans of this Emmy-winning series to savor every minute of these conversations on CNN and Variety.”
The new season will roll out daily beginning Friday, December 5, with one conversation premiering each day for 13 consecutive days.
Full episodes debut on CNN followed by a release on Variety’s YouTube channel.
Variety’s annual Actors on Actors print issue will be available on newsstands December 17.
