The co-stars have sparked romance rumours as they appear on the red carpet for the Naked Gun premiere. The pair grew close whilst filming and appear physically close on the red carpet as Anderson kisses the cheek of the Irish actor. Neeson plays Lt Frank Drebin Jr whilst Anderson plays love interest Beth in the upcoming film.
Neeson told People magazine that he had formed a close bond with the Baywatch actress as he states “with Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you.” He then continued to compliment Anderson, saying that she is funny and easy to work with.
The likeness is reciprocated as Anderson told Entertainment Weekly how close the pair have become while filming,“I think I have a friend forever in Liam, and we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy,” she said. “He comes from theater and ‘Schindler’s List’ and has done over a hundred films. And I did things inside out and backwards, came from television, and then my personal life kind of overshadowed my professional life,” she said. “It is funny: We all come to this place in different ways, but to be able to share this experience with him is very meaningful and such an honor.” Anderson branded Nesson as "the perfect gentlemen" and that he has brought out the best in her.
Despite Anderson kissing Nesson on the cheek on the red carpet, and Nesson confessing his love for the actress, the pair have shut down all romance rumours. Neeson states that he is "done with dating" and Anderson has found a "friend for life" in her co-star.
The Naked Gun reboot is set to release on the 1st of August. The new film is directed by Akiva Schaffer, the first trailer was released in June 2025 and shows Neeson's character after he succeeded his father at the LA Police squad. Anderson's character is seen arriving in Frank Drebin, Jr.'s office, after her brother was murdered before he sets off to solve the crime.
