Martin and Roman Kemp are to set off on a number of road trips across Ireland for a new TV show.

The father and son duo are to take off on an amazing journey, looking at the iconic landscapes, legends, mysteries and histories which have shaped Ireland as a country.

The show is titled, Martin & Roman's Irish Road Trip, will air on Virgin Media, and sees the pair travel around Ireland, beginning in Cork, before heading over to Dublin and Meath, before moving up north for the final episode.

Martin and Roman Kemp have even been told that they have Irish heritage in their family, something which they delve into on the show.

"From ancient tombs and faerie forts to breath-taking coastlines and reputedly haunted castles, they encounter people who are keeping old traditions alive through ritual, music, performance, and storytelling", a description for the show reads. "While Martin loves nothing more than indulging in a good myth, however unlikely, Roman’s logical mind makes it harder for him to believe in the unproven".

Martin Kemp is also no stranger to Ireland, having lived there during his time with Spandau Ballet. This was where he fell in love with the country's storytelling traditions, something which he is keen to pass on to his son.

Martin and Roman's Irish Road Trip will air on Monday 27 April at 9pm.

Last year, Martin Kemp appeared on I'm A Celebrity..Get Me Out Of Here!, before being voted off after 20 days in the jungle, where he spoke about his stint on the show with Ant and Dec.

"I have dreamt about this moment", he said. "It's just a weird trip. I loved just sitting around and talking with the others. I said it a few times on there, I'm not one for making new friends and this is the first time I've done it in years and I absolutely loved it".

"Coming out now, I feel like I've done everything I want to do, experienced it and I can walk out with some brilliant anecdotes".
