Netflix have confirmed that a new reality show starring the late Liam Payne will air later this Summer.
Hosted by Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean, this series will follow contestants who perform in individual booths, and then build a band without seeing each other, with Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland co starring as judges.
It was also confirmed that Payne's "family reviewed the series and is supportive of his inclusion".
"All they have to go on is musical compatibility, connection, chemistry and merit", an official description for the show read. "What will happen when the bands finally meet, and looks, choreography, and style come into play? With incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal - to find the next great music band - the stage is set for an unforgettable experience".
Filming for this show had finished prior to the former One Direction singer's tragic death last October, which saw Payne fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina. The singer was 31 years old when he died.
Following his death, doubts had been cast over whether or not this show would be streamed by Netflix.
However, it has been reported in Deadline that the streaming supremos would air the series which is produced by Remarkable Entertainment and Banijay UK, with the publication announcing that this series would air over a period of weeks, "July 9, Episodes 101-104; July 16, Episodes 105-107 and July 23, Episodes 108-110".
Back in May, it was announced that Liam Payne's ex partner, Cheryl Tweedy would be named as administrator of the late singer's £24 million estate, after Payne died without making a will. Tweedy and Payne share eight year old Bear. More on this here.
