Pippa O'Connor has opened up about hubby Brian Ormond's health woes, which have seen him hit with a number of setbacks.
The mum-of-three admitted that the past few weeks have been an ordeal for her other half and the family in general, as he remains in hospital.
By all accounts, Brian is thankfully on the mend, but it's been a slow process to get him back on his feet.
Pippa explained that he was forced to undergo two surgeries on his back within a short space of time, but has now also developed an infection that has complicated the situation and kept him in hospital.
He is on an IV drop and taking multiple antibiotics in a bid to clear the infection, but it's proving to be a slow process.
Brian's ill health has understandably caused a lot of worry and stress, and she admitted that the last few weeks have been 'a blur' as she thanked well-wishers for their support.
'Brian is still in hospital... It's been a whole thing. Thank you for all the kind messages, by the way, asking how Brian is, he's okay, it's just a slow process.
'I haven't really experienced this before. He got a really bad infection, so yeah, [he's] on the antibiotic, IV drip, multiple times a day...;
'...At first, it was try to find the right ones that would bring the infection down, and then once they did, it started to come down slowly, but it's a slow process.
'He's also had two back operations with a very short space of time between them so I feel so bad for him, he's had such bad luck and [been] really unfortunate the last few months that things just didn't go as smoothly, I suppose, as we would have anticpated at the start but anyway, that's life and he will be okay, he's young fit and healthy,' she continued.
Pippa went on to talk about how she 'can't wait' to have her other half home again, but joked that he was getting out of putting up the Halloween decorations this year.
Her update on his health comes as she joked over the summer about feeling 'jealous' of Brian as they get a little older.
