One Battle After Another star Chase Infiniti has been named among the nominees for the BAFTA 2026 EE Rising Star Award, placing the 25-year-old actor firmly in the spotlight as one of the most exciting emerging talents in film.

Infiniti is shortlisted alongside a strong group of rising performers, including I Swear actor Robert Aramayo, Sinners star Miles Caton, Gran Turismo’s Archie Madekwe and Lollipop actor Posy Sterling. The EE Rising Star Award is a particularly prestigious honour, as it is the only category at the BAFTA Film Awards decided by a public vote.

Reacting to the nomination, Infiniti described the recognition as deeply meaningful. “This nomination means the world to me,” she said. “It’s been such a transformative year in my career, and I feel honoured and grateful to be considered for this award. Thank you to BAFTA, EE, and all the jurors for including me alongside this tremendous group of actors.”

The nominees were selected by a jury made up of industry experts and established performers, including Joe Alwyn, Sheila Atim and Benedict Wong. Their role is to identify emerging talent making a significant impact on screen, before handing the final decision over to the public.

Robert Aramayo also reflected on the importance of the moment, calling it unforgettable. “Today is a day I will never forget,” he said. “The artists nominated alongside me this year and those who’ve been recognised by the EE Rising Star Award before set a standard that continues to inspire me. If young Robert only knew he’d be standing here as an EE Rising Star nominee today, he’d be very proud.”

Miles Caton echoed that sentiment, describing his nomination as “truly surreal”. He added: “I’m honoured to be recognised alongside such talented artists, and I’m grateful to everyone who supports and champions new voices in film.”

Public voting for the EE Rising Star Award is now open via the EE website and will close at 12pm on Friday, 20 February. The winner will be revealed at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards, which will take place on Sunday, 22 February and be broadcast on BBC One. The ceremony will be hosted by The Traitors US presenter Alan Cumming.

The Rising Star Award has previously highlighted actors who went on to major international success, including David Jonsson, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Emma Mackey, Kristen Stewart, Eva Green, Lashana Lynch, Letitia Wright, James McAvoy, Daniel Kaluuya, John Boyega and Tom Hardy.

The full list of BAFTA Film Awards nominees will be announced on Tuesday, 27 January.
