Vogue Williams’ sister, Amber Wilson, will make Dancing in the Stars history when she takes to the stage in January.
Amber was announced as part of the stellar line-up last week, which includes Traitors star Paudie Moloney, Fair City’s Stephanie Kelly and comedian Michael Fry.
In a historic moment for the series, Amber will be dancing in an all-female pairing for the first time ever.
She is paired with Alex Vladimirov, who is back for her second season.
Amber spoke about her excitement over participating in the series on the latest episode of her podcast with Vogue.
When Vogue asked about Amber’s partner, the podcaster was taken aback to hear her sister say ‘she’.
Amber replied: ‘She, oh yes, excuse me! That’s the other big news…
‘All female couple people and the first all-female couple for Dancing with the Stars.
‘So, that’s very exciting obviously from a representation perspective,’ she added.
Amber’s dancing partner was born in Ukraine and raised in Germany. Last season, Alex made it all the way to the final with Taekwondo athlete Jack Woolley.
The new season of Dancing with the Stars will return on RTE on Sunday, January 4.
Oti Mabuse joins the judging panel as head judge, while Laura Fox takes on presenting duties alongside Jennifer Zamparelli for the season.
Along with a new judge, a new presenter and new stars, there are also three new professional dancers – Arianna Favaro, Leonardo Lini and James Cutler.
Amber will be hoping to go all the way with Alex as they prepare to hit the stage in the new year.
They will be up against a variety of stars who have joined their own dancing partners.
Paudie is paired with last season’s winner Laura Nolan, Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins is with newcomer Leonardo Lini and Michael Fry is teaming up with returning dancer Kylee Vincent.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Kelly is paired with Ervinas Merfeldas, Eric Roberts links up with Arianna Favaro and Anne Cassin joins Robert Rowinski.
