A teaser trailer for a new two part series looking at the days leading up to the death of presenter Caroline Flack has been released.
The documentary which has been described as "unprecedented", is being led by Flack's mother, Christine, who "just wants justice" for her daughter, who died of suicide in 2020.
Former Love Island presenter, Flack died in February 2020, in what was a turbulent time for her, having been charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton the previous December, which saw her plead not guilty.
Burton did not want charges to be levelled against his then girlfriend, while the press coverage over the incident has since been widely condemned.
Caroline Flack: The Search for the Truth will see Christine ask the hard questions over her daughter's death, as she is keen to tackle the "the misrepresentations" that tarnished her daughter's reputation, as well as bring new details to light.
The logline reads: "This two-part Disney+ documentary follows Caroline's mother, Christine, as she investigates the truth about her daughter's final months -uncovering new details, asking difficult questions and exposing "the misrepresentations, pressures, and failures from institutions and decision-makers that shaped Caroline's final days".
The trailer, which arrived last Friday (November 7), shows Christine talking about her daughter's successful career, as footage of Caroline on television is being played.
"People think they know what happened to Caroline, but the reality is much darker. There’s so much information the public haven’t seen. I want the truth to come out", Christine can be heard saying.
Another moment shows Christine explaining why she wanted to put this documentary together in the first place.
"Now I’ve got nothing to lose. The worst thing in the world happened. My daughter’s died", she said. "As a parent, we think our children are always going to be there. I want justice for my daughter".
Caroline Flack: The Search for the Truth is set to be released on Monday November 10.
