Soap fans are in for a treat very soon as Coronation Street and Emmerdale are about to come together.

Due to hit our screens next January on Virgin Media Television, Director of Programming Anthony Nilan said, 'This is truly a historic moment for soap fans, and we're delighted to bring Corriedale to Irish screens.
