A new six part documentary on the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs team, titled 'The Kingdom', has aired on ESPN and provides behind the scenes of the teams hunt for three consecutive Super Bowl wins earlier this year.
The series explores how the team gained widespread popularity after the iconic singer started attending games to support her partner in 2023.
Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt, spoke to PEOPLE at the premiere event and opened up about the unique details on the pairs relationship that will feature in the docu-series. He explained that 'The Kingdom' provides a “fun… little peek into Travis’ relationship with Taylor” and reveals a "unique" aspect of their relationship that they have never addressed to the public before.
“There were definitely some elements of that where there were some new things that we learned,” Hunt said. He states that although himself and the team remember the first time that Taylor Swift attended the game, the docu-series provides the singers perspective on her first time supporting Kelce.
“We all lived the experience of having her join the Chief’s Kingdom a couple of years ago, and hearing the recounting of her coming to that first game, really from her perspective, I thought was really unique,” Hunt said.
The documentary premiere comes shortly after Swift announced her new album 'The Life Of A Showgirl' earlier this month. The announcement was made whilst she was making her first time appearance on Travis Kelce and his brother Jason's podcast, New Heights.
