Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she likes to distance herself from her ex partners.

The singer spoke about this on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she had a chat with rapper, Common.

When asked if she remains friends with any of her former partners, Kelly Clarkson said, "No. Here's the thing, I'm not not friends. I only have a couple that I'm just like 'hard pass".

"I just feel like it can get awkward," she continued. "It depends on who ended it or who it is. It's situational".

"A couple of them are cool people, nothing wrong with them. If we ran into each other, we'd be totally friendly. But that's the difference".

Last November, a court had ruled that Kelly Clarkson's ex husband Brandon Blackstock, who had acted as the singer's manager during their marriage, had overstepped his role, when landing lucrative deals for her.

Mr Blackstock was ordered to pay his former spouse Kelly  $2.6million (£2.075million).

The pair finalised their divorce in 2022, having tied the knot in 2013. They are also parents to daughter River Rose aged 9, and son Remington aged 7.
