Reports have suggested that Tom Cruise has moved back to the US after years of living in the UK.
This comes as the Mission Impossible star was spotted moving possessions out his property in London's Knightsbridge Area, leaving staff in the building surprised by the move. No reason for this decision was reported at the time of writing.
Prior to this, Cruise had spoken of his love of living to the UK.
During an interview with The Mirror in 2022, Cruise said: “I guess I am an Anglophile. I spend a lot of time in Britain and that’s not just for work reasons. I just love being here".
“It’s a fantastic blend of old and new. I love seeing the sights, the Tower of London, Nelson’s Column, Buckingham Palace and all those fantastic places which are just full of history. Britain is trendy, too, and has a lot that other countries then copy. I also love the British countryside,” he added.
“Seeing cows and sheep in the fields here is just so very British and just like we see in the movies in America. I always wondered whether it is really like that. It’s great to go back to the US and say, ‘Yes, it really is’".
Last October, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas reportedly called a halt to their relationship after less than 12 months together.
In other news, Cruise had received an honorary Oscar at the annual Governors Awards in Hollywood. The actor received this award alongside Dolly Parton, Debbie Allen and Wynn Thomas.
"Making films is not what I do, it is who I am", Cruise said during his acceptance speech. "The cinema, it takes me around the world, it helps me to appreciate and respect differences. It shows me also our shared humanity, how alike we are in so, so many ways. And no matter where we come from, in that theatre, we laugh together, we feel together, we hope together, we dream together. And that is the power of this art form".
Speaking about his love for cinema from an early age, Cruise added: "I was just a little kid in a darkened theatre, and I remember that beam of light just cut across the room, and I remember looking up, and it seemed to be just exploding on the screen. Suddenly, the world was so much larger than the one that I knew".
Elsewhere, Cruise also revealed that he almost broke his back while filming Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning. Find out more on this here.
