Soap legend Beverley Callard has earned plenty of praise for her sheer honesty following her recent post cancer operation updates on social media.
Callard, best known for playing Liz McDonald on Coronation Street, had shared the news regarding her cancer diagnosis earlier this month.
Taking to social media, Callard, who recently joined the Fair City cast, revealed that she had no appetite following her surgery, adding that slept most of Monday, and that she "didn't even comb my hair".
The actress also assured her followers that she is not in pain, but is sore, before candidly admitting that she is worried about her appearance and how her body will look once her dressings are taken off.
"I don’t know what I look like and I’m scared of that, I keep thinking, maybe this is too much information, but will John [her husband] and I still be swinging from the chandeliers, if you know what I mean". Callard said. "Will I still be attractive or not? All that’s going through my head".

Callard's post was met with several messages of support in the comment section, including Irish singer, Imelda May, who wrote: "You are stunning!!! Don’t stress. Allow yourself to just heal. You’ll get your mojo back".
Fair City star, Emily Lamey, added: "You are doing amazing & inspiring loads of people. You will be swinging from the chandeliers in no time".
Another person commented: "Listen to your body it's telling you to rest, when we rest our bodies heal. You have and will always be beautiful inside and out".
Elsewhere, Callard also shared the "worst bit" of her cancer battle.
"I went to the hospital, and they wanted to talk to me about the lymph nodes and the lymph glands", she said. "They are pretty sure it is not in the lymph nodes, but they are going to take two out on Friday when I have the operation to make sure, so it’s quite a big operation I’m having, but I trust them completely".
"I have to tell you it’s the Norwich and Norfolk Hospital, all NHS obviously, and they are truly amazing. They spent ages with me, and every other patient as well", she added. "What is great is that you can sit there chatting to other people who are going through what you are going through, and some are in a far worse position than me". .
"I thank my lucky stars, the world is full of really strong women for sure".
Callard went onto to reveal that the worst part of the surgery was the "waiting" beforehand.
"The waiting is the worst bit. I have to tell you, the house is so clean because I can’t stop and think about things", she explained. "One more day, and then it is the operation. But I’m feeling strong and positive and let me know if you are going through it and how you are feeling. Truly, your stories mean a great deal to me".
