Robbie Williams is taking his support for his favourite football team to the next level after being unveiled as Port Vale FC's new Foundation Ambassador and official front-of-shirt partner.

The singer, who has supported the club since childhood, has signed a landmark two-year agreement that will see his distinctive 'RW' logo displayed on the front of Port Vale's home and away kits throughout the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons.

As part of the partnership, Williams will also help raise awareness of the charitable work carried out by the club and its foundation within the local community.

The move represents a full-circle moment for the Angels star, who grew up just a short distance from Vale Park and has followed Port Vale for decades. In 2022, he returned to the stadium for a major homecoming concert in front of thousands of fans.

Speaking about the new partnership, Williams said seeing his name associated with the club he has loved since childhood was a special moment.

"It feels pretty incredible, to be honest. Robbie Williams on the front of a Port Vale shirt… It’s a match made in heaven, for me," he said.

The singer also reflected on his early experiences attending matches at Vale Park.

"I started going to the Vale when it was 50p for a junior supporter to get in. It takes a village to raise a child, and the Railway Paddock at Vale Park raised me."

Williams credited Carol Shanahan, the club's chair and co-owner, and her family for helping strengthen his connection with the club in recent years.

"I’m back here and back involved because of Carol and the family, and what they have created backstage," he said.

"Being embraced again by the Port Vale family has been very important to me, and it feels wonderful."

The partnership is expected to bring increased attention to both the football club and its charitable initiatives, while giving supporters the chance to see one of the area's most famous sons represented on the team's shirts.

Port Vale FC revealed how incredibly popular the partnership already is.

In the first three hours of sales, the new Robbie Williams-sponsored Vale shirt has been bought in more than 20 countries, with Germany the most popular territory outside of the UK.
